Hi, I have an Acer laptop with XP. Possibly(??) since installing a new
copy of MS Office the screen flickers esp. on start up.

I have tried the diagnostic and the only clue is the BIOS may need
updating - however after reading posts elsewhere I'm pretty nervous
about messing about trying to upgrade it. (I know I don't have the
latest one.)
