I have Windows XP and I also have a PowerShot A75 digital camera by
Canon and I recorded a video that I wanted to import into Windows Movie
Maker but everytime I try I get this message...

The file C:\Documents and Settings\rentacenter\Local Settings\Temporary
Internet Files\Content.IE5\8R6TU9WX\MVI_0833[1] is not a supported file
type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker.

It doesn't make any sense to me cause on my old computer the video's
imported just fine into windows movie maker (I had XP and same camera
and everything!)
So what's going on and is there anyway to import my videos!
