Ray,

If still there and having same problem I had, see my reply to Gerry. Try
turning off all but absolutely necessary services running. Reboot normally
and see if you can access System Restore. Turn off System Restore service
too, if necessary. I did, when I got mad and was ready to try anything! I
can't be sure that wasn't the solution.
