Try cleaning the xp cd,take a soft cloth & use rubbing alcohol to clean it..
Actually you'll find that 98% of all cd/tape/deck cleaner is rubbing alcohol
(Isopropyl Alcohol),use the 90% solution if available,wipe dry after you
softly
scrub.Retry xp cd...
