Verizon has a page that explains how to set it up. You didn't mention
which of the following you have,

Verizon with MSN premium®
Verizon|AOL®
Verizon|Yahoo!®
Verizon|Live®
Verizon Online

so you'll have to navigate to the correct email instructions page from here:
