Re: SP3 SFC,SFC Freezes Since SP3 Update
I read the KB article and understand how to use SFC.I also read some fixes
on the internet that involve some questionable procedures as to
slipstreaming a CD and changes in the registry plus moving folders around.

I am afraid of these fixes as I do not consider them fixes but rather
shotgun attempts to solve the problem.

Microsoft took my trouble, gathered lots of system info but I have not heard
back.

I was hoping someone could explain the cause and offer a proven
solution. When running SP2 I had great success every few months running SFC
and speeding up my system and fixing lots of quirky IE7 problems.

Thanks for listening, what a great resource these groups are.
