If you need long term storage (Pictures from Spring Break 2008) and/or the
ability to have different sets (april 2008, may 2008, june 2008, etc...) -
CD/DVD backups may be for you. Otherwise - you may want to look into
backing up to an external hard disk drive (even a network attached storage
device) or possibly a combination of External Hard Disk drive/CD & DVD
archival.

The differnce in procedure for backing up to CD vs. DVD... You can put more
on a DVD at once and you must have a writer (physical device) that will
write to DVDs.
