I am taking for granted that you purchased the SATA DVD drive for a reason,
and not a mistake.

In that case you should purchase a SATA PCI card. And yes, SATA and PATA
get along fine. Many motherboards have both SATA and PATA connectors
onboard.

P.S. if it was a mistake, you should return the drive and replace it with a
PATA drive.
