How to select installing language of software?
Probably less strange question if detailed out.
I want to install software on my system in English. Yet there are drivers
and certain software (i.e. latest Google Earth version) that insists to
install in German.
please help...
I tried a lot with User Locale and System locale (I think), but I am not
able to control reliably how software is installed.
I am running a native US version of Windows XP SP2. However, I do have a
Swiss keyboard and I live ins Switzerland.
Windows XP language is english. Standards and formats are English (USA) too,
but i have customized some formats (date, time, etc). Location is
Switzerland. Input languages include English (USA) and German (Switzerland).
Default is German (Switzerland)
Any suggestion on how I can male ALL software installing in English very
much appreciated.
Thanks
Dan

Re: How to select installing language of software?
Danke

Re: How to select installing language of software?
I would imagine the download site is reading your address, and being Swiss
is giving you a german download
Look a bit more deeply at the site & see if there is an option to set your
location

My computer had originally been set up in chinese. Have a look in the
control panel for Regional and Langague Options. It did work for me.
I hope that helps.

Re: How to select installing language of software?
Hi Dan,
the following link provids information about how to change regional and
language settings. This should change also the language for software you
want to install into the language you have chosen on your Computer.
