XP SP3 Update failure

Hi all,

upon trying to install the new xp sp3, I end up with an error message
stating that I would need more empty disk space to continue. Now I have
deleted practically everything but the OS, in other words, the xp partition
is around 40 GB and 30 GB or so are free.

I should like to add that I am trying to update an Apple MacBookPro Intel
notebook. XP is running fine on that machine otherwise.
