8GB Ram with XP 32 bit
I am building a Vista ready PC with 8mb of ram, but not ready to upgrade from
XP just yet. Will my PC run ok with 8mb on the board (I know it will ignore
the spare 4mb) or will the extra 4mb of RAM stop it running?

Re: 8GB Ram with XP 32 bit
A Google search on Win XP and 8Gb RAM had a few answers.

Re: 8GB Ram with XP 32 bit
there has been problems with computers running vista in that they dont
recognize more than 2gb but I have heard before you install vista remove 6gb
leaving 2gb after installation is complete install other 6gb and make sure
that MEMORY HOLE REMAPPING is enabled in your BIOS
