ActiveSync Doesn't Recognize My Device

I have a Motrola Q from US Cellular...
Downloaded ActiveSync 4.5.....
And when connecting my Q via USB...
Activesync trys but then a window pops up saying....
"ActiveSync did not find any devices"

Someone please help...this is my first smartphone and i dont know if its me
or the PC...
