Use Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore
and choose the most recend restore point that is prior to the onset of
the problem. That should resolve the issue.
Note that using System Restore will also require that any Windows
Updates installed since the date and time of the chosen restore point,
will have to be resinstalled as well as any new application programs
installed since then.
Emails and application data files should not be affected.
