Startmenu and taskbar are gone

I had to clean out some viruses and trojans recently and when I was done
the Startmenu, desktop icons and the taskbar won't load at startup.
Explorer.exe will run and I can access the file manager and taskmanager, but
the desktop/Start is dead.
i had to kill some startup processes when I cleaned my machine, maybe I
killed the drivers that run the Startmenu etc?
The computer works fine except for the missing bar, icons and startmenu.

In the "blank screen" xp,bring up task mgr,from task bar or Ctrl_Alt_Delete
keys,in task,new task,type:cmd In cmd,exit task mgr,type:Sfc /Scannow
Install xp cd,exit the menu page.Once its thru,type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to
restart,type:EXIT Remove cd,restart pc.
