MP3 Properties/Summary Problem
I have been going through some of my mp3 music files & updating the
properties....
Now, nearly all of them have the expected standard Artist, Album Title,
Year, Track Number, Genre, Lyrics... etc.... under 'music' in the
summary....
but.... I do seem to have a few random mp3's that only list Track Number,
Title, Comments, & nothing else at all under 'advanced' which doesn't make
sense to me...
xp identifies them all as the same file type, standard MP3 Audio... I
certainly cannot spot any file differences at all....
any idea how to enable the full summary selection so that I can add the
Artist data etc....
Tia....

My older CDs that I burn mp3s from don't contain any information that
transfers to the mp3 so I add it manually when I burn the mp3. Have you
tried entering the information manually when you right mouse click on
your mp3 file in Windows Explorer and select Properties and then click
on the Summary tab and then click on Advanced?

Re: MP3 Properties/Summary Problem
Tried that first of all, in advanced (only on those files though) there isnt
the full options available...
only lists Track Number, Title, Comments, & nothing else are there.... also
if I do input a title for example, it errors if I try to save....(again,
only on those files though)
Windows plays them fine, just like all the other mp3's, I just cannot see
why these particular mp3's haven't got the same full 'advanced data'
available like all the others

Re: MP3 Properties/Summary Problem
I don't know much about mp3's except how to rip them from CDs. It sure
sounds like your problem mp3's have been ripped in a manner so you can't
change anything. Did all the problem mp3's come from the same place?
