wep key

I just purchased a Vista computer and need to enter the wep key from my old
XP machine. How do I find the key in XP?

It is much easier to log on to your router and key the key from there.

As has already been pointed out, you need to log on to your router's web
interface in order to retrieve the WEP key. Check the manual for your router for
how that's done.

On a side note, if the wireless adapter on your new computer supports WPA, or
better yet WPA2, you might consider using that intead of WEP. It's more secure.

You read its manual. It might be 192.168.1.1 but your router may use a
different IP address.
