Same here; belay my last post!
Don't use msconfig myself - but its Startup tab seems to consist of items in
two of the registry's startups (HKLM Run & HKCU Run) and the current user's
Startup group (in Start > [All] Programs).
Still, you could basically do the same as I outlined last time with a
batchfile - although I'd be coy of disabling items directly from within
msconfig. Mike Lin's app (amongst many others) shows you where each starts
from.
As a postscript, if you're looking at cutting down startup time (although
I'm not sure if that IS your aim...), you could look at the contents of your
Prefetch folder... Opinions vary, but <opens can of worms> deleting items
from there might help.
