"Network Tasks" bar not visible in "Network Connections"

Hi,

For some reason the "Network Tasks" bar that's siupposed to be on the left
when you open "Network Connections" isn't there. Can someone please tell me
how to get the bar back or what the problem may be. My OS is WIN XP Home
Edition w/ SP2. Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Click Tools on the menu bar at the top of the window. Select Folder Options from
the menu. In Folder Options, make sure "Show common tasks in folders" is
selected. Click OK.

Keep in mind that this change will impact all open folders.
