2008 CSEs in SP3?
Does anyone know if XP SP 3 will contain the Windows 2008 GP Client Side
Extensions? If not, I assume that at least XMLlite will be included (a
prerequisite for the Client Side Extensions). Is that a correct assumption?

Also, any approximate date for when SP 3 would be available via WSUS?

Thanks.

Re: 2008 CSEs in SP3?

Hello,

From the overview document of Windows XP SP3, it includes all previously
released Windows XP updates, including security updates and hotfixes, and
select out-of-band releases. So the Preference client side extension for
Windows XP KB 943729 should also included in the service pack.

Yes, SP3 will be available in Windows Update. However the download size
varies depending on the current computer's configuration.

Sincerely,
Miles Li
