Keep track of file names on external hard drives?
I have a few external hard drives that are loaded with old project files and
such. What i'm looking for is a bit hard to describe.

I'm looking for some kind of 'thing' (e.g. software) that can make a listing
of all folders and file names that are on the hard drive. So that way I can
easily check (whether it's at a 'glance' or an interactive interface) which
file is in which folder on which hard drive.

I know of only very few software applications that provide such a thing. But
they're all by independent developers, that could end support at any moment
:S. So a solution that's provided by a reliable company, or somehow directly
integrated into a common program like MS Excel would be preferred.

Michael Alexander has built "File Manager 4.0" available for free on his
website. It works great! Caveat - you need MS Access 2002, 2003, or 2007
