WSUS and GPO
Hi all,

Ok I know I did this correctly in the past, but I must have toss out all my
notes.

I have Wsus 3.0 up. I have set the GPO (locally for limited testing).

GPO -- Local Comp Policy > Admin Temp > Windows Update > Update service
location set to http://machine name for both locations and the Configure
Automatic Updates are enabled and set.

Force was applied gpudate and wuauclt.exe /detectnow was applied. In the
console the machine which these were applied are still not seen.

i have gone through pages of material, and I may have missed the simple
solution.

RE: WSUS and GPO
I have done further research on this and still I am hitting a wall. I read
and followed this process:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...(printer).aspx

PLease note I do not have Sharepoint Central Administration installed.

Yet with the To check network connectivity on the WSUS client computer , I
was sucessful.

At the Registry
It all appears as it should, autoaupdates were disabled and I failed to
locate the specifics stated in the process.

This was in the WindowsUpdate.log
