Removed a Brother however other tools clearly stated it was a DVD/CD drive
and the bit rate and other info was the same as the real DVD/CD.
Reviewed all installs and trawlled the reg and all refrences to start up
apps / services etc... No Luck....
I did remember installing a trial of Ultra ISO previously and while it was
un installed I did remember a glitch and assumed a clash with Virtual CD
.... But gave it no further thought...
Reg files had the usual splatter of Ultra ISO references but nothing I
could point at. Reinstall and no change... Re boot no change.... Open
Ultra ISO and in Options / config / Virtual Drive there as a "1" selected.
LIGHTS GOING ON..
Select to "0"and reboot and that "CD Drive (E

" went away...
Uninstall and then clean REG.....
All looks good.... Interesting that somthing was in the reg etc but other
diag tools did not see it as a Virtual, but did see the two Virtual CD
drives as Virtual??
Hope this may help others. been bugging me for weeks.
