Halo problem

Hi, I'm having trouble getting Halo to work. I try to start the game, it
brings up a window saying "Gathering Exception Data...", it closes then I get
an error message saying it the game needed to close. I've tried reinstalling
it, restarting my computer, fully updating Halo, and pretty much every other
solution on the microsoft website. I'm running an XP home edition with SP2.
AMD Sempron Processor, 1.99GHz, ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series, and 448 MB of
RAM. Does anyone know what I can do to get it to work?
