Protection Stub

I've been trying to play Fable: the lost chapters in Windows Vista Ultimate,
I have the latest drivers and updates for it, and I also tried disabling the
UAC but still the following message pops up everytime I try to run the game:
"Protection Stub Stopped Working". Any Idea on how to make it work?
