FSX, SP1 and Texture Problems
I have been flying with FSX (deluxe edition) for about a year now. I recently
decided to install the SP1 patch to FSX to improve overall performance of
simulator. I installed SP1 in a "clean" FSX install (I had no add-ons
whatsoever installed in FSX) as instructed by developers of SP1. Even though
the installation was successful, and performance has seemed to improve, I
have three very upsetting problems since I installed SP1:
1) the water texture does not seem real anymore, even if settings are high;
It has no reflection ata all of aircraft or sunlight; it looks terrible.
2) When I choose "Fair" weather or "Cold front" weather, a white thin
blanket of what seems to be clouds (like a thin layer of fog) suddenly
appears underneath the aircraft after I reach certain height, sometimes above
9,000 FT. To describe it, it looks like when you are flying at very high
altitudes and select "foggy" or "rainy" weather. The only way I can
eliminate this white thin layer is by re-selecting "Clear" weather. And even
then, sometimes it still appears after certain height.
3) With SP1, aircraft no longer seem to have windshields or windows which
make the aircraft look terrible. They look like "cheap" add-ons. I have
un-installed and re-installed SP1 and FSX several times already and the
problem persists. Anyone knows why this occurs or if this is "normal" or to
be expected when you install SP1? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
My system specs are:

Operating System: Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2
300Gig Hard Drive
Processor: Intel Pentium D CPU 2.80 GHz (2 CPU's)
Capacity: 512Mb
Net Framework v2.050727
Memory: 1014 MB RAM
DirectX 9.0 - Updated
Display/Driver: Intel(R) 92945G Express Chipset Family, 224MB RAM
1280 x 1024 x 4294967296 colors
DirectDraw / Direct3D acceleration - enabled
