System hang after display of PCI listing

Since a few days i have the following problem:
After closing my PC in the sleep mode i tried to start my PC the
other
morning and the only thing i saw was the PCI listing and 2 times: Y

I did a fixboot (Recovery Console)
I did a chkdsk and there were some errors repaired.
F8 did not work in this stadium, only by changing drive D: as the
bootdrive i was able to safeboot on drive C:.


In the safe mode i do get a display of several files with the
following last line:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWSAppPatc h\drvmain.sdb


I have also used the option (Windows Setup) and new installation and
repair possibility, still no result


I am not very experienced with solving this problem that is why i am
asking for any valuable inputs.


It looks like that at the point of starting Windows XP the PC hangs.
