During installation.
How do I get it back to a state where I can start the install over again?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Windows XP SP2 Install Stalled
If you have the DVD/CD inserted and it is bootable it should always restart
asking you if you want to boot from the CD/DVD.

RE: Windows XP SP2 Install Stalled
Check control Panel, Add Remove Programs and un-install service pack 2 if it
appears in the list.

Re: Windows XP SP2 Install Stalled
At what exact point does it stall? The minute on the progress bar is what
is significant.

For example, see:

Re: Windows XP SP2 Install Stalled
It hangs when it gets to "installing cabinets".

Re: Windows XP SP2 Install Stalled
Please provide details about your computer. Was service pack 2 ever
installed on this computer? There is a known issue that requires updating
the BIOS but you have not given the system specs so check the
troubleshooting section at
http://support.microsoft.com/xpsp2getinstall
