RW DVD/CD
Hi,
My laptop has a DVD/CD problem. It will play music and movies on CD but It
does not recognise DVDs at all anymore. Not from Media player, DVD programs
or Nero. How do I reinstall or repair the driver or tell me what settings I
need to change.
Thank you

Re: RW DVD/CD
It's my understanding that a combo Dvd/CD drive has two separate
lenses. One for Dvd. One for CD. You may have a
flaky or failed Dvd lense. It has nothing to do with the driver.

Re: RW DVD/CD
Check directly on the manufacturers website. They will have the bios
(probably newer) and whatever it takes to install it, they often have
programs to test their own drives.

Or he could possibly consider doing a System Restore back to when it was
working ok. But if that was long ago, that's probably not such a good
idea.
