Start button do not work

Hi,

Somehow my Windows start button does not work any more, it reacts only
to right mouse click, not left one.

Any clue?

I actually had this exact problem. Mice don't die often, but did you try a
different mouse on the machine? If you're using USB or PS2, you might try
switching the type of mouse to the other kind in case it's a bad port.

Does anything else respond to clicks of the left mouse button (like double
clicking on a desktop icon) or is it just the start button that is wonky?

All other mouse actions elsewhere work fine, just this start button is
the problem
