Outlook Express Emails

Could you please advise if I am able to get my emails from another computer,
we will be travelling soon and don't know how to retrieve emails outside my
home.

Have you checked with your email provider if they have a 'WebMail' facility
? Who is your email provider ?

There are two ways to accomplish this:
1. The easiest solution is to use your email provider's webmail interface,
if one is offered. You must enter your username and password to access your
mail.
2. Borrow someone's machine and configure your email account on it. You will
have to enter your username, password, in-/outgoing mail servers, and in some
cases change the in-/outgoing ports and server security settings. Remember to
delete the account when you leave, you do not want others to be able to
access your personal emails.

And if you follow the second route below make sure you set the account
properties to leave a copy of the mail on the server - that way you can
retrieve them all again when you get home (ofcourse you may not want a copy
at home in which case ignore this!)

Outlook Express is a Mail Client, not a mail server. You should be able to
access new messages (and any older messages not removed from the server) via
your account's web-mail page while you're travelling.

Sorry, but you've read wrong. It has nothing to do with XP Home
edition. If your ISP has webmail capabilities, and you are at any
computer with web access, you can do this, regardless of what
operating system it is running. It could be *any* version of Windows,
Linux, Macintosh, or anything else. The operating system is completely
irrelevant.

OOps, I wasn't referring to "web mail" I was referring to
accessing POP mail from another computer away from home using
"Outlook Express". You are right about 'web mail' and accessing
via web browser, I guess I didn't read correctly and thought he
wanted to use OE. Don't know
what I was thinking. Sorry about that.
