Vinyl Deck

What is Vinyl Deck? I **assume** that it is some kind of video editor. (When
I "googled" the phrase, I received many answers, 99.9+ % of them having to
do with the plastic and/or porches.)

Since I don't think I need the app., I would like to know what it is before
I get rid of it.

Thank you,

Barry Karas

Re: Vinyl Deck
Try Googling again but use this for the search: "Vinyl Deck" software

RE: Vinyl Deck
Here is your answer...Hope it helps.

http://forums.techguy.org/all-other-...inyl-deck.html

Vinyl Deck is part the VIA AC97 sound driver, if you have a VIA codec in
your computer and you use that as your sound card then you don't want to
uninstall it or you'll lose your sound. If you don't want the Vinyl Deck
desktop icon it can be deleted, if you don't want the System Tray icon then
it can be disabled safely in MSCONFIG. If you really need to uninstall it it
should be listed in Add or Remove Programs under VIA Platform drivers and you
can choose to uninstall the AC97 audio driver and leave the rest.

If you've downloaded the correct driver, from the www.VIAARENA.com website
for the sound, then the driver signing isn't that important.

On some older systems the MIC and Line-in jacks are shared with the rear or
center speaker jacks. The Vinyl Deck has settings for controlling and muting
the various jacks.

Re: Vinyl Deck
Thanks. I'll just delete the icon from my desktop. I won't delete the
program though.
