RE: auto logon
1. Click Start - Run - type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2
2.

a. If "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" is
already checked then uncheck the option, apply the changes and restart your
PC.

or

b. if "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" was
not already checked the make a check mark. Select the desire user from the
list and uncheck the option again and you will be asked to enter the
password. Leave it blank in your case. Apply the changes and restart your PC.

Hope this help, let us know!

Use Microsoft's TweakUI powertoy to configure under which account you
want to autologon. That means anyone that has physical access to your
computer can also just power up to automatically logon.

Re: auto logon
Fran,

This question has been asked a million times before & searching Google, Microsoft or
Technet would yield many results. Even searching this newsgroup would have given you the
answer

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/s.../bb963905.aspx

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305906

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...autologon.mspx

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315231

I will leave you to do a Google search & pick up the other 900, 000 results of the same
thing

Just proves a little searching on your behalf would have saved the people who replied
valuable time to answer something technical

But why go to http://www.microsoft.com or http://www.google.com, type in "Autologon",
"Windows XP" (with comma & quotes) & press ENTER when you can waste the time of others?

Be user savvy
