unable to log on windows xp server
Hi All,

We use a pc with Windows Xp as a server.
Sometimes we can't logon because there are too many connections.
When we look in the server at Session there are most of the time some
sessions which should already have been removed. They are stuck.
When we restart the server the problem is gone.

Now I know that there is a limit to Xp as server to 10 connections
but I don't think that is the problem. The problem is these Sessions
ger stuck.

Marco

Your comment as to the 10-connection limit is right on the money. One
computer can easily be using more than one *connection* - there's nothing
much you can do about that.

Sounds like it's time for you to get a proper server OS (could be a simple
NAS box, even); XP Pro is not the tool for this job.

HP's MediaSmart Server EX470 with Windows Home Server for $600 sounds like a
good plan.
