Clicking on links in Outlook Express doesn't work
Clicking on Internet links doesn't go to those links anymore when
using Outlook Express.

Any ideas as to why that is ?

Thanks.

Hyperlinks do not work in Outlook Express after you upgrade to Internet
Explorer 7:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929867

If still no joy, for IE6 & IE7:

From:
http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm

If nothing happens when you click a link:
Open Windows Explorer, or the Control Panel.
Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to [NONE] URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol (NOT URL:Internet
Shortcut) and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Select 'open'.
Click Edit.

"Application used to perform this action" should read:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome (Check the path to
iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the double quotes.)

DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have:

#1:
"%1",,-1,0,,,,
#2
IExplore
#3 (blank)

#4
WWW_OpenURL

URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy should be the same.

Sometimes it is necessary to uncheck Use DDE.

X-post to OE General

What happens when you click on link?

Are you running WinXP SP2 or WinXP SP3?

Are you running IE6 or IE7?

Is IE your default browser?

Why ask HERE? Do you see OE in this group's title? NO.

Ask elsewhere

So is Visual Basic. Should I ask my programming questions HERE? NO.

Use common sense.

You should always start your own new thread.

What happens when you click on a link? Anything? Does it open a blank page,
etc.? Did you uncheck Use DDE?

Re: Clicking on links in Outlook Express doesn't work
I just went through all steps again. I then unchecked DDE. Still did not
work. When I went to go through 1 more time the DDE was checked instead of
unchecked as I had last done.
IE6
XP Professional SP2
