Soundcard issue??! Help!

I'm having major issues with playing back any sounds on my computer.
Everything coming from the computer sounds as though it's slowed and broken.
That's the only way I can explain it. Kinda like Daft Punk's song "Funk soul
Brother" when the sample slows and breaks apart? Even the Windows sound
scheme blips are slowed and struggling. Any ideas? There's plenty of room on
the computer....latest version of directx...defraged...updated....I ran a
registry cleaner as well...

Well the registry cleaner was probably not such a hot idea, the problems
that will cause are likely to become evident later. Can you do system
restore from just before you ran the "cleaner"? What is the malware
status? Did you perhaps mistakenly "update" the sound card driver with
something from "Windows updates"? (if so go download the correct one for
your sound card from the manufactures web site)
