Go / Refresh Button (green) on Address Line

changed to a Refresh Button. I want my Go button back! Help please.
Thanks.

Re: Go / Refresh Button (green) on Address Line
Sorry Kelly, but I am a novice and don't open or save any content without a
valid digital signature as I am too nervous about getting a virus. The link
you have supplied doesn't have one so I can't use it, I'm afraid.

[X-post to IE General]
Are you referring to IE7? If so, are you running WinXP SP2 or WinXP SP3?
If the latter, did you install IE7 before or after you installed SP3?

Re: Go / Refresh Button (green) on Address Line
I am running WinXP SP3 and installed IE7 before I installed SP3.

Re: Go / Refresh Button (green) on Address Line
See if this archived reply to a similar thread in IE General answers your
question:
http://groups.google.com/group/micro...1ac46634?hl=en
You may not have noticed this before but in IE7 the old GO button has been
replaced by a new REFRESH button (pair of up & down green arrows).
When you start to type a URL in Address Bar, the button changes to a
horizontal green arrow. After you push this button (or hit ENTER), the
button then reverts to a REFRESH (up & down arrows) button.
If this is NOT what you're seeing, please tell us.

Yes, this is what's happening. I guess I hadn't realised things had changed
when I got IE7. Thanks for your help.

Re: Go / Refresh Button (green) on Address Line
I'm thinking of dowloading the Beta version of IE8, but I've only just got
used to IE7!
Thanks very much for all your help.
Bye bye

Re: Go / Refresh Button (green) on Address Line
Don't do it, at least not until IE8 Beta 2 is released in August (?). The
current build is not aimed at end-users.
