If you install the Boot Manager portion of BootItNG the program it is
limited to 30 days. No such warnings appear on the partition management
tools, which does run from a USB stick - 1.81a does
Been a little while since I used it so the instructions are fuzzy.
After you create the boot disk, and boot from the disk, do not install the
program, click cancel or maintenance mode. (You can create a boot disk with
only the management tools on it IIRC).
It's pretty easy to get the gist of managing the partitions from here. Be
warned however, (the last time I used it), it will create an NTFS partition,
but *not* format it.
You don't need to do much, just select, then resize the first partition,
then create a new one in the remaining space. This partition manipulation
will not destroy data, but it is advisable to create a disk image first,
just in case.
When you reboot Windows will tell you it found new hardware. You don't need
to reboot, but can if you want. Go into Disk Management and format the new
partition there.
