REGSVR32 Problem

Hello all,
I have a problem on my Windows XP Professional system. Have been given
a VB program to fix which has the GRAPH32.OCX object included. This
object is not registered in my system. When I try to register (either
from the Start Command line or opening a Command window as
administrator) I get no response from the command. Registering other
objects works fine (either I get the command was loaded or failed
message), but with this object zippo.
I have copied the object from various DLL repositories on the net
hoping that my version is corrupt- but still nothing.
Have looked at the process using ProcMon and it displays SUCCESS for
the result at all levels but the object is still not registered.
Am at the end of my wissen (knowledge) and could use some good help.
Anyone else out there with this experience and can lend a hand??

Thanks in advance
Howard Lawrence

Re: REGSVR32 Problem

Hi Kelly,
thanks for your assistance. But this does not solve my situation - or
I am missing something
I am not using SUF - don't even know what it is.
At any rate as I mention before, I have looked at the process with
procmon.exe and as far as I can tell, all dependancies are there and
in the correct order. Also, since I get no return message (either good
or bad) I haven't got an error code to pass on or check. It just enters
the twilight zone and disappears. I am hoping not to have to re-install
XP plus the zillion other applications that I have, but am coming down
to the wire.
Any more ideas?
Thanks for your time!
Howard

Re: REGSVR32 Problem

Hello Kelly (and all other readers!),
After reading your reply a second and third time, I changed my search
parameters for graph32.ocx & dependancies and found the following
entry:
'microsoft.public.vb.controls: Re: graph23.ocx on XP'

So now I don't feel so bad - I still think that Microsoft could/should
change the regsvr32.exe to return some sort of entry but I still
believe in Santa too.

Oh well, for the next time that someone is looking at this type of
error, maybe it can save some time.

I Thank you for your efforts.
Regards
Howard
