Re: graphics card revisited
This has all been explained to you already, what is it that you don't
understand from the previous answers?

Re: graphics card revisited
Memory on the "Graphics card" is for use by the card only. Graphics card
memory can not be used as main memory, so you still are limited to the
original 400MB installed in your PC for use by applications or data.

I wrote a long answer to your original question. Others answered you
too. Why are you asking the same question all over again, and starting
a new thread to boot?

If there's something you didn't understand about the answers you got,
reply to them and ask for clarification. Don't start a new thread
asking the same questions all over again.

Re: graphics card revisited
Kevin,

I read Ken's reply to your original post and it's a very good answer
(especially picking up on the 400MB of ram) .... so as Ken said:

"If there's something you didn't understand about the answers you got,
reply to them and ask for clarification. Don't start a new thread
asking the same questions all over again."

Also if you where using an on board video graphics chip and not a stand
alone
Video card like the one you just purchased, you should check your BIOS to
see if
there is an option to disable the "on board video chip".
