Safari has ruined my xp display! Help

I was not paying attention and when itunes popped up with an upgrade I
said yes, not knowing that the upgrade was an installation of safari.
Now my font is entirely mucked up. I have uninstalled safari and
firefox which helped but not entirely. Anyone know anything about
this?

Do a System Restore to before the update/install.
