Access Denied
Hi Guy's
I got this error, whe I trying to connecting is some of our workstation .
\\computername\admin$ is not accessible. you ight have no permission to
use this networl resources.
I used the Domain Admin account to access their resources and when I
checked the admin$ / IPC$ is enabled but I'm still getting the same problem.
I checked also the firewall (no firewall client) but I'm still not
success..
Please advise ...

Even I accessing the \computername\c$\windows. I'm still getting the problem .
Btw, the information below is present in the computer...
IPC$
Admin$
C$
D$
Domain Admin is part of Local Administrator group ..
May I know what is the policies blocking the domain admin to connect to the
workstation, may be the user's enabled this policies ..

I have some vague recollection about Windows XP Home not
being able to access the administrative shares of a Windows XP
Professional workstation. You can get around the problem by
creating suitable shares, e.g. like so:
net share Windows=c:\Windows (on the machine that hosts the share)
net use Q: \\OtherPC\Windows (on the remote machine)

Hi Pegasus,
Basically, My objective is to install the sccm 2007 client and
pre-requsites is to access the share drive by admin$. Creating new share
folder is will ot help me. I have no idea what is blocking the me to the
access evenhtough I access some of the resources using their share folders..
Please advise what wrong on the workstation I have 5 similar cases on this
issues, your highly appreacited ...

Did you check out my suggestion about this being a WinXP Home
issue? I cannot do it myself right now - I don't have ready access to
such a machine.
