Retrieving Identity Passwords in Outlook Express
Is there any way to retrieve a forgotten identity password for Outlook
Express in Windows XP? I have tried all my usual suspects and none are
working.

Re: Retrieving Identity Passwords in Outlook Express
You might try downloading SIW (Software Information for Windows)
and click on the secrets option. I know for sure it shows the password
entered for email.

Use a packet sniffer like Ethereal (Wireshark) to sniff the conversation
with the mail server. Email passwords are transmitted in clear text.

Please disregard my response. I thought you were looking for a saved pop3
password. I don't use identities.
