Unable to open a URL

Hi,
I am trying to open a webpage, but am unable I get the following problem on
this computer, I can access the page by another computer, I have disabled
the virus checker and the fire wall but still cannot open it.
your help is appreciated

Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a
connection.

* Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network
connection.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect
settings can interfere with Web browsing.

Thanks Bob

You forgot to tell us the url, what browser you're using, and what security
software you have installed. In general:

1. Try a different browser. If you're using IE, try Firefox and vice versa.
2. Look in your security software's settings. Perhaps the url is blocked.
3. Are you running a proxy? What firewall are you using? You should not
disable your firewall but you need to make sure you are only running one.
5. The First Question of Troubleshooting: if this worked before, what
changed?

More details from you will produce more focused help.
