System Restore does not keep restore points
System Restore is on on all of my drives. Yet, I only get the previous
day's restore point...all others are erased every single day.

This is not how it used to work, and it is very bothersome. I tried turning
it off and back on again and it did not change the
behavior.

Further suggestions are welcome!

Only run system restore on your system drive. It's worthless
everywhere else, so turn it off.

And make sure you set the space large enough to hold the number of
restore points you want to keep. Expect about 150mb restore point.

Don't go for more than two weeks.

If you are creating multiple restore points everyday... you will get
less than two weeks.

I think the OP was asking how to get more than ONE restore point per
day, not how to do a restore.

I could be wrong. I was once... many years ago <g>

And that question is most likely answered in one of Bert's other pages
accessed by navigating via the WinXP drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Although this was a rather cryptic suggestion, deep in the convoluted
instructions at the link I found the very, very obtuse way of restoring the
service. I don't know whether it works yet, but it at least reinstalled.

Thanks.

Re: System Restore does not keep restore points
System Restore should be set to only monitor the system drive/partition
Windows is installed on.

Then check for the amount of free space on the system drive.
