Unable to apply file extension
I have reloaded Windows XP home eidtion aftger having virus's. All loaded ok
and computer working well.

Loaded IE 7 and service packs. Have Powerpoint viewer and went to change
the file extension (in folder options) so that all powerpoints would open
with this. made the change but was unable to click on the apply button, it
is greyed out. While in outlook express unable to open an attachment that is
a powerpoint presentation, but if I save it to the desktop and then open it
there is no problem.

What am I missing and why can't I open powerpoint presentations with the
viewer? Viewer will open from '97 to 2003.

Many thanks

Yvonne

Re: Unable to apply file extension
Right click a PowerPoint file, select Open with, click the Choose program
option, mark the Always use box, click browse and select the viewer.
