Automatic Logon to Windows problem
Each time my PC starts now, I get an Automatic Logon To Windows screen
appearing. In the user box it has the Administrator, & the password box is
blank. It says that the computer is unable to log me on . I replace the
Administrator user name with my user name and leave the password blank, and
then I am able to logon. What I would like to do is for the PC to
automatically log me on each time it starts, without having to go through
the process I have mentioned.

I have used userpasswords2 from the run command, and in the user accounts I
have 3 accounts listed in the user tab. An administrator, ASPNET AND me. The
box "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" is not
ticked.

I am the only one with access to this PC.

Any help to resolve this will be most appreciated.

Under UserPasswords2, do this to make the process stick:
1. Tick the box "Users must enter..."
2. Click the preferred user.
3. Untick the box "Users must enter..."
4. Enter the password when prompted.
In future, repeat this process each time you change the password.

Re: Automatic Logon to Windows problem
So if I am correct, I run the application and type in my username and put a
password in and hit enable, and then when my PC logs on it does so
automatically to my username by default, without me having to type anything
in. If so, can I leave the password blank, as knowing me I will forget it
anyway!

Cheers

Steve
