windows xp boot problem
Hi, I am trying to figure a problem on start up of windows. When I boot up
after o'night close of system next day my sysytems locks up half way through
windows boot, if I then switch off and reboot it works fine from then on and
allows reboot all day. Next day after overnight close, boot up freezes again
half way through ? Anybody any ideas whats wrong and what I can do to fix.
Thanks
Note I have already done a complete system xp re install has no effect still
same problem. Do not have xp home cds as system came with already installed.

This might be a temperature-related hardware problem. You can confirm it
like so:
1. Turn on the PC.
2. Get immediately into the BIOS setup instead of launching Windows.
3. Leave it there for five minutes.
4. Reboot normally.

If this solves the problem consistently then it is likely that one of the
motherboard components needs to warm up before it works properly. A hardware
group would be a good place to seek further advice.
