Tried to reinstall XP, Cant locate HD drives
Picking up from my last thread, I have now tried to reinstall XP. Setup
could not locate HD drives and aborted.

It will rebook with current configuration (with the viris) but cannot see C
drive.

Thanks again for all of the help.

RE: Tried to reinstall XP, Cant locate HD drives

Adding to my earlier post you may be need to access your BIOS and make your
First Boot Device the CD-ROM then the HDD.
Some by F2 or F9, read the Machine docs to understand how to access the BIOS.

If the drives are SATA, this is a driver issue; press F6 to add the drivers
at startup, and you will need a floppy disk and drive.

However, some motherboards don't seem to work properly this way, shift the
BIOS out of AHCI mode and the SATA drives should appear in a legacy mode.

Once XP is installed, you can add the drivers and then shift the BIOS back
to AHCI.

Check the system documentation.
