Windows Shutting down after inputting password

I been using this new compute since Feb. log into a domain. user name is
there entered password. Get noise then the screen shut down. Assuming
computer is shutting down. Then get no signal

The date and time was 10/1/2008 2:57 PM, and on a whim, klafert pounded
out on the keyboard:

On a clean boot after the BIOS screen, press F8 repeatedly until you get
a menu. Choose Safe Mode with Networking. See if Windows will come up.
You may have a corrupt driver.

I had the delight of not having to do anything a couple times, as for
some reason booting into Safe Mode and then back normally cleared up the
issue. But don't count on it being that simple. ;-)

Report back to let me know if you can boot to Safe Mode.
