XP, Vista and KVM
Oops, sorry! Recent Post entitled ZP, Vista and KVM should have read
XP,Vista and KVM.

I'm looking at reviews on the "Aten CS-62DU Petite 2 Port USB DVI KVM switch
cables built in" which I think might be what I want. Has anyone personal
experience of this make/model?

Bill

We guessed. Well everyone except Gurney probably did.

KVM switches are relatively straightforward devices and there should be no
reason why the model that you are looking at shouldn't work. Despite your
concerns, they are actually operating system independant. Some KVM switches
work better if the two PCs are set to different refresh rates (say 60 and 72
Hz), but trial will tell you if this is the case. The problem is that there
is a slight cross talk between the video systems and the video from one PC
beats slightly with the other. This effect cannot be elliminated but if the
refresh rates are different, it bocomes un-noticeable.
